Mandalay
Mandalay is one of the major cultural centres in the country, rich with history, art and anthropology stemming from nearly six centuries of royal occupancy.
Mandalay is a practical and compelling launch pad for the rest of this area in Myanmar, given its close proximity to many historic sites and outlying areas ripe for exploration. Mandalay is now a bustling city, mostly built with the help of Chinese investment in recent years. Although Mandalay has caught up to other Southeast Asia boom cities, its ancient pagodas, temples and markets that existed in past eras are still well-preserved and worth the visit during this journey. No trip to Myanmar is complete without immersion in some of the many different cultures that exist here. Our journey is brimming with opportunities to learn about the general history of this ancient land.
